Retrostock was formed in 2008. Our goal is to provide the best quality retro stock photos at a resonable price.
The
idea for the website retrostock
came from an urge to collect images of other peoples lives. Pictures
made by other peoples that are not photographers, we call them
snapshots, have a profound unique and individual character. Made to
record the lives of the people surrounding the one that operates the
camera. These pictures will never be made again and they will also be
made over and over again by other families, this is what makes them
unique and gives u the best way to define an era. Decades as the
fifties, sixties and seventies are the most recorded era's of the
20th
century, these were the decades that the camera and film were
available to the masses and relatively cheap to operate. The images
that were made in the last century cannot be made again and as unique
as they are the will never be made again. Retrostock
is a website with a database filled with these kind of pictures, made
by everyone who owned an camera and used it. Some times a bit fuzzy
but mostly in clear focus. Everything that had to be on the picture
was on it.
